The Michael V. Holdt Music Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization based in Los Angeles County, founded on a simple belief: talented bands and musicians deserve to be supported and heard, and the public deserve access to inspiring, affordable live music.
Our mission is to support musicians and artists who may lack the resources, connections, venues, or exposure needed to reach a wider audience. The Foundation helps bridge that gap by creating performance opportunities, mentorships, greater exposure, and connections with new audiences and the music community.
Our story began with Michael V. Holdt’s lifelong passion for music and his desire to use that passion in service to others. Throughout his career, Michael encountered gifted musicians whose talents deserve greater recognition. He envisioned a charitable organization that could open doors based not on fame or industry connections, but on talent, dedication, creativity, and the desire to share music with others.
The Foundation is equally committed to the communities we serve. Through affordable concerts, showcases, and community performances, we bring musicians and audiences together while helping make quality live entertainment accessible to families, seniors, young people, and the broader community. Every performance creates opportunity on both sides of the stage: artists gain visibility, mentorship, meaningful performance experience, and new audiences, while the public discovers talented musicians and music, they might never otherwise experience.
